Letter from Deb and list of Tuesday's pickup available in This Week.

We are planning our last farm visit day of 2008 to be held on Saturday September 13th from 11-4. We will have fall crops to help harvest, a maple syrup display and demonstration, a bee keeping display. Please bring your own picnic lunch and drinks. There will be room in the barn to sit, or if you prefer, bring a blanket to sit on the grass. We will also have our honey and Bearkill Maple syrup for sale that day. I would like you to e-mail me to let me know if you will be attending and a contact number. Please send the e-mail to: info@stoneledgefarmny.org . The farm visit is a nice day to just enjoy being on the farm, the fresh air, visiting with the farmers and also other CSA members.

There are several unfilled slots on the volunteer schedule. Please check the Calendar and see if you are available to fill one of the empty slots.

There is a new web site that has a link that features recipes directly from your weekly CSA share. The web site: LocalFork, based in New York City, is working with chef Viviane Bauquet Farre to produce recipes that utilize the vegetables that you will receive in your share. The blog will be updated weekly. The web site is working to have an easy link to the recipe blog section, until they have that in place you can go to: http://www.localfork.com/OrganizationProfile.mvc/Blog/1634 for the recipes for this week.
